4. First Aid Measures
General:
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Keep patient warm and at rest. If breathing is irregular or has stopped, administer artificial respiration. Give nothing by mouth. If unconscious, place in the recovery position and seek medical advice.
Ingestion: If swallowed seek immediate medical attention. Keep at rest. Do not induce vomiting.
Eye Contact: Contact lenses should be removed. Irrigate copiously with fresh clean water for at least 10 mins, holding the eyelids apart, and seek medical advice.
Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water, or use a proprietary skin cleaner. Do not use solvents or thinners. If in doubt, seek medical advice.
5. Fire Fighting Measures
Extinguishing media: Acohol resistant foam, CO2, powder, water spray/mist
Special fire fighting procedures Fire exposed containers should be sprayed with water to lessen the risk of explosion.
Unusual fire and explosion hazards Fire will produce dense black smoke containing combustion products which may be a health hazard. Appropriate self contained breathing apparatus may be required. Run off from fire must not enter drains.
6. Accidental Release Measures
For leaks or spillages: Exclude sources of ignition and ventillate area. Exclude non essential personnel. Avoid breathing vapours. Refer to protective measures listed in sections 7 & 8. Contain and collect spillages with non-combustible absorbent materials eg sand, earth, vermiculite, diatomaceous earth, and place in a suitable container for disposal in accordance with waste regulations (see section 13). Do not allow to enter drains or water courses. Clean preferably with a detergent. Avoid using solvents. If the product enters drains or sewers, the local water company should be contacted immediately. In the case of contamination of streams, rivers or lakes, the Environmental Agency.
7. Handling and Storage
Handling: Avoid skin and eye contact. Avoid inhalation of vapour and spray mist.
Only for use as per the instructions stated on the aerosol. Aerosols should not be stored or used in temperatures below 0°C or above 35°C as at low temperatures the can pressure may drop and on cold days if the product is not shaked the can propellant only will be sprayed on application. To prevent this happening always shake the can well and allow the can and its contents to reach ambient working temperatures before use.
After use invert the can and clear the nozzle by pressing the actuator for a period of 30 seconds
Storage: After use invert the can and clear the nozzle by pressing the actuator for a period of 30 seconds
Store in a dry, well ventillated place away from sources of heat, ignition and direct sunlight. No smoking. Observe the label precautions.
Store separately from strong oxidising agents, strong acids and strong alkalis.
8. Exposure Controls/Personal Protection
Ingredient name OES/MEL 8hr TWA 15min STEL
Xylene, mixture of isomers OES 100ppm 150ppm (Sk)
Acetone OES 750ppm 1500ppm
1-Methoxy-2-propanol OES 100ppm 300ppm (Sk)
Butane OES 600ppm 750ppm

(‘Sk’ denotes absorption through skin is possible)

Engineering measures: Provide adequate ventilation to maintain the flammable vapour concentration well below the LEL and ensure the airborne concentration of substances to which an OES has beenassigned is below that level.
Respiratory protection: Air-fed respiratory equipment should be worn when this product is sprayed if the exposure of the sprayer or other people cannot be controlled below the OEL and engineering controls and other measures cannot reasonably be improved.
Hand protection: When skin exposure may occur, advice may be sought from the glove suppliers on apprpriate types. Barrier creams may help to protect exposed skin but are not suitable for full physical protection.
Eye protection: Eye protection designed to protect from liquid splashes should be worn.
Skin protection: Cotton or cotton/synthetic overalls are normally suitable. Grossly contaminated clothing should be removed and the skin washed with soap and water or a preparatory skin cleaner.

There is no data Available on the product itself.
Exposure to organic solvent vapours may result in adverse health effects on the renal and cenral nervous systems. Symptoms include headache, dizziness, fatigue, muscular weakness, drowsiness and in extreme cases unconsciuosness. Splashes in the eyes may cause irritation and reversible local damage.
12. Ecological Information
There is no data available on the product itself.
The product should not be allowed to enter drains or water courses or be deposited where it can affect ground or surface water.
The Air Pollution Control requirements of regulationsmade under the Environmental Protection Act may apply to the use of this product.
Xylene is likely to bioaccumulate, but with short retention of the order of a week or less. It is likely to be moderately toxic to aquatic organisms and it will biodegrade although it will float on water and evaporate slowly.
Acetone has no bioaccumulation potential, not acutely toxic to aquatic organisms and has good biodegradability
13. Disposal Considerations
The product should not be allowed to enter drains or water courses or be deposited where it can affect ground or surface water. Wastes, including emptied containers, are controlled wastes andshould be disposed of in accordance with regulations made under the Control of Pollution Act.
Using the information provided in this sheet, advice should be sought from the Waste Regulation Authority whether the special waste regulations apply
