INTRODUCTION
Swansolv is a new generation fast evaporating environmentally safer solvent formulation with no water content A drop in replacement for 1.1.1. Trichloroethane, HCFC 141b and other chlorinated solvents.
Swansolv is non flammable, contains no chlorine and possesses the best in solvency and soil loading capacity.
Swansolv gives excellent cleaning results for so many industrial applications and leaves no measurable residue.
Swansolv is environmentally assessed to have a 10 day atmospheric lifetime and a near zero ODP & GWP, free from ozone depleting chemicals and CFCs, and independently toxicologically tested to be non carcinogenic and non mutagenic

SAFER TO USE
Swansolv is a safer drop in replacement for HSE Risk Phrase 40 and R45 chlorinated solvents . SwanSolv has been specifically developed as a replacement for trichloroethane and other chlorinated solvents for many applications. SwanSolv has all the advantages of trichloroethane as an excellent cleaning solvent but, unlike chlorinated solvents SwanSolv is not classed as R40 or R45 (Possible irreversible effects or Class 2 Carcinogen) under current UK CHIP 3 health and safety regulations.
Swansolv is currently classed(2004) as R20 by the UK HSE and has been tested to be non carcinogenic and non mutagenic by NTP, IARC, OSHA:and ACGIH: Swansolv Is not a HAP (Hazardous Air Product)

COMPATIBILITY
Swansolv does not corrode carbon steel, copper, stainless steel, aluminium, magnesium or titanium and is compatible with a wide range of elastomers, plastics and phenolic linings

Swansolv incorporates a specialist inhibitor package in the formulation which neutralises acid, inhibits rust, prevents corrosion of metals plus enhances solvency and soil lifting performance.

APPROVALS
Swansolv is tested and approved for oxygen service by both BOC Group and Air Products
CCLRC approve Swansolv as aluminium and gold safe for cleaning use in international space programme manufacture.
